Darren Thomas’s film about the National Guard, For My Country , debuts this month on Documentary Channel as part of the 11/11/11 Veteran’s Day themed marathon. Other selections include the 1944 film The Negro Soldier, Robert Drew’s From Two Men and a War, Phil Donahue and Ellen Spiro’s Body of War and Richard Robbins’ Oscar-nominated Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience. DOC Channel will also air a Veteran’s Day special that evening.
